The problem

Don't build your audience on rented land

Substack takes a percentage of every subscription. Medium owns the reader relationship. Even Ghost's own hosted tier meters you by member count on infrastructure you can't see. In every case the thing that matters most — your list of paying members and their email addresses — lives in an account someone else controls, on terms they can change.

A Ghost environment flips that. One tenant, one instance, one database: your posts, your members, your subscription data on hardware we own, under EU jurisdiction, with no revenue share and no member-count meter. The same Ghost that powers professional publications, run as your own — isolated, sovereign, portable.

What every environment includes

The full publishing stack, provisioned and live

Ghost installed and ready — current major release, provisioned and migrated, ready to claim your admin account and publish. Nothing to set up.
Your own MySQL database — every post, member, subscription and newsletter in a database that is yours alone.
Members, subscriptions and newsletters built in — Ghost's native membership, paid tiers and email newsletters, running on your instance with your payment processor connected directly to your account.
A dedicated IP for your sending — member sign-in links, signup confirmations and newsletters leave from an IP no spammer shares. For a membership business, deliverability is revenue.
Your themes, your front end — upload any Ghost theme or build your own; full control of the reader experience, SEO and performance.
Nightly backups included — database plus uploaded media, on separate platform storage.
Everything every environment gets — sealed networking, dedicated IP, automatic TLS, reserved compute.
One publication, your domains

Your canonical domain, cleanly served

A Ghost environment serves your publication on its own canonical domain with automatic TLS, and quietly 301-redirects any secondary domains to it so links, SEO and member cookies stay consistent. Members sign in, magic links resolve, and newsletters render against one clean home — the way Ghost expects.
One canonical home — the URL everything derives from: post links, member logins, RSS, sitemaps.
Automatic TLS — every domain on the environment secured at our EU edge.
Isolation between clients — a second publication is a second environment; full separation, always.
For publishers, and the studios who build for them

We run the substrate. You run the publication.

We guarantee the environment: the app pods, the database, the network, uptime and provisioning. You run Ghost — your content, themes, members, integrations and payment setup. It's stock, current Ghost with the full admin and the standard theme layer, so every Ghost theme, integration and guide works unchanged.

Migrate in with a standard Ghost export plus your media; migrate out the same way. Your content and your member list are yours to take.
Isolation is a business feature

Your members are your asset — keep them yours

Your member list in your own database — email addresses, subscription status and payment metadata in your own MySQL server, not pooled in a platform's multi-tenant table.
Your revenue, undiluted — connect your own payment processor to your own account. No platform percentage on subscriptions.
Sovereign EU ground — reader and member data on hardware we own, in Sofia or Amsterdam, under EU jurisdiction only. No US parent, no CLOUD Act reach.
Reserved resources, no traffic caps — a post that takes off is served, not throttled — and never billed by member count. You pay for the environment you reserve, not for how well your publication grows.

Under the hood

Compute
Dedicated Ghost (Node.js) pods, resources reserved in-cluster (request = limit); Shared or Dedicated physical CPU clusters — your choice
Database
Your own MySQL 8 pod on replicated Ceph block storage
Storage
Distributed CephFS volume for uploaded images and files, replicated across nodes
Mail
Transactional member email + newsletter sending via your configured provider; dedicated IP for reputation
Network
Default-deny NetworkPolicies: environments cannot reach each other, period
Ingress
Dedicated IP per environment, TLS at our EU edge for your domain(s), HTTP/2, secondary-domain 301s
Backups
Nightly database plus media archive, on separate platform storage
Releases
Every component version-pinned down to image digests; upgrades staged on test environments first
Jurisdiction
EU company, own network (AS202309), own hardware in Sofia & Amsterdam, own keys

Plans

Ghost is a light, fast workload — a Node app and a database. A Standard environment comfortably runs a real publication with members and newsletters; larger plans add headroom for high traffic and big sends. Per environment, per month, excl. VAT. Dedicated IP and nightly backups included in every plan.

★ Shared CPU is our recommended option — same isolation and features in both modes; the price difference is the physical CPU guarantee level alone. Disk grows online; plan upgrades are applied in place. Volume pricing for studios running multiple publications on request.

Frequently asked

Is this Ghost(Pro)?
No — it's self-hosted, open-source Ghost (the same software Ghost(Pro) runs), as your own isolated instance. No member-count pricing, no revenue share. The whole product, and a database that's yours.
Can I run a paid membership and newsletters?
Yes — Ghost's native members, paid tiers and email newsletters are all here. Connect your own payment processor to your own account, and send newsletters from a dedicated IP. The subscription revenue is yours, whole.
Do you support or theme my site?
No — same boundary as everywhere on the platform. We guarantee the environment: database, network, uptime, provisioning. Your content, theme, integrations and payment setup are yours. Every standard Ghost theme and integration works.
Can I migrate my existing Ghost in?
Yes — the standard Ghost export (JSON) plus your media, imported into your new instance. Out the same way. No lock-in.
Are there traffic or member limits?
No member-count meter and no visit caps. You reserve an environment; a viral post is served from your reserved capacity, not throttled or surcharged. Sustained high load is a reason to size up, not a surprise bill.
Where is my data?
Sofia or Amsterdam — your choice — on hardware owned by Radibase, an EU company on its own network. No US parent, no CLOUD Act exposure. Your members' data stays under EU jurisdiction.
